Company: Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room Location: Bengaluru Department: Food & Beverage / Front of House Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 1–3 Years in Hospitality / Restaurant Industry Job Summary We are looking for a customer-focused and energetic Captain to join our Front of House team. The Captain will be responsible for ensuring excellent guest service, managing table operations, coordinating with the kitchen and service team, and maintaining Burma Burma's service standards. Key Responsibilities • Welcome and assist guests, ensuring a warm and professional dining experience. • Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide menu recommendations. • Have good knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens. • Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery. • Monitor assigned tables and ensure guest requirements are attended to promptly. • Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally. • Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and service standards. • Coordinate with Stewards, Senior Captains, and Restaurant Managers during service. • Upsell food, beverages, and speciality menu items where appropriate. • Monitor billing and ensure orders are accurately entered into the POS system. • Follow restaurant SOPs related to service, hygiene, safety, and guest handling. • Support smooth restaurant operations during peak hours. • Assist in opening and closing duties and maintain proper service standards.
